Snorkel launches new online warranty services portal

Henderson, NV, USA (June 6, 2022) Snorkel is very pleased to announce the global launch of its new online warranty services portal.

Now available, the new online warranty services portal allows Snorkel equipment owners to digitally manage all product warranty and warranty claim information. New users can create an account to submit a claim, search and view claim history, and submit labor rate declarations.   The user-friendly online portal provides convenient 24/7 access and up-to-date product warranty information.  There is no change on how claims are processed, we are simply improving the experience to submit and track warranty claims, hopefully improving claim processing times.

The new warranty services portal is the part of a customer support digitization campaign by Snorkel.  While we are still accepting scanned/mailed paper copies of warranty claim submissions, this will be phased out over the coming months.

Leading The Charge: Briggs Equipment Invest in Snorkel Lithium Speed Levels

Snorkel Sl26rte At Work In IrelandBriggs Equipment have become the first company in Ireland to invest in Snorkel’s zero emission lithium-ion powered Speed Level lifts.

The company took delivery of two electric Snorkel Speed Levels at their Dublin depot in early November from Ahern Ireland. Introduced in November 2019, the Snorkel SL26RTE and SL30RTE have powerful four-wheel drive capabilities and are able to self-level and drive at full height on compound slopes without the need for outriggers, yet are zero emission and are significantly quieter than the diesel equivalents.

The Snorkel SL26RTE delivers a maximum platform height of 8.0m, a lift capacity of 680kg and a spacious 1.72m x 4.6m platform with the 0.91m roll-out deck extension deployed. The larger Snorkel SL30RTE can reach a maximum platform height of 9.0m, lifting a maximum platform capacity of 590kg, and has a fixed platform of 1.72m x 4.23m.

Both models come equipped as standard with 11.5kW Li-ion batteries with integrated battery management (BMS) systems. This standard two battery pack system has been proven to deliver at least an eight-hour shift on a single charge, and in some cases, up to one week between charges, subject to usage. Designed for outdoor applications, the powerful and efficient AC electric motor creates efficiencies in the hydraulic drive system with higher torque than a diesel engine, which in turn provides improved gradeability and enhanced performance on rough terrain than traditional combustion lifts.

Manufactured by Snorkel in the U.K., the SL26RTE and SL30RTE were available from Ahern Ireland’s inventory in Rathcoole for fast delivery, and Briggs Equipment were able to put the units out on hire almost immediately. The SL26RTE was deployed in its first job on a retail park being used to lift workers to clean building facades. The customer was very pleased with the performance of the unit, especially the Speed Level’s capability to be driven at full height while positioned on the pavement.

Snorkel Launches Its First Lithium-powered Rough Terrain Boom

Snorkel is proud to unveil its ninth model in its lithium-ion battery powered family of rough terrain mobile elevating work platforms and telehandlers.

The new Snorkel A46JRTE makes its global debut today at Vertikal Days exhibition in the U.K., becoming the company’s first lithium powered boom lift. It joins eight other lithium-powered Snorkel models which have been introduced since late 2019, including the SL26RTE and SL30RTE electric Speed Levels, the S2255RTE, S2755RTE, S2770RTE, S3370RTE and S3970RTE electric rough terrain scissor lifts, and the electric SR5719E/SR626E compact rough terrain telehandler.

The New Snorkel A46jrte

Utilizing the same lithium-ion battery pack solution as the other mobile elevating work platforms in the family, the A46JRTE offers a true zero emission rough terrain solution, without compromising on the reliability and four-wheel drive capabilities of the diesel equivalent. It comes as standard with three 111Ah (5.75kWh) lithium-ion battery packs, which satisfies many applications, including heavy-use.

The automotive-quality lithium-ion battery packs are produced in the North East of England, and are individually equipped with the latest battery management systems (BMS). Requiring zero maintenance, the battery packs have been tested in climatic chambers between -77°F (-25°C) and +140°F (+60°C), making them suitable for use in most environments.

Simple To Charge, The New A46jrte Boasts Long Duty CyclesDepending on usage, Snorkel lithium-powered mobile elevating work platforms are delivering extended duty cycles per charge, when compared to similar models. Based on typical use in rough terrain under test conditions, a single charge can last for more than one week, and in light use on elevation jobs with minimal driving, this increases to more than two weeks on a single charge.

Featuring a powerful AC electric motor, which creates efficiencies in the hydraulic drive system, the Snorkel A46JRTE benefits from higher torque, which results in increased traction and improved rough terrain performance. The electric motor also delivers 62% less jobsite noise and with no engine fan, dust generation is reduced for safer and cleaner operation in low emission zones and green cities. With minimal battery and electrical system maintenance required, servicing costs are reduced by up to 93% when compared to an engine, while also eliminating the costs and risks of waste oil and filter disposal.  Less servicing also reduces the load on service engineers.

The original diesel-powered Snorkel A46JRT is a proven and globally popular articulated boom lift, known for its long working life and exceptional working envelope. Capable of reaching a maximum working height of 52 ft. 11 in (16.3m), the A46JRT has a working outreach of 24 ft. 11 in (7.35m) and benefits from a zero tailswing and 5 ft. (1.5m) jib boom for excellent maneuverability in confined spaces.

The new lithium-powered four-wheel drive A46JRTE expands the A46 family to three models. Snorkel continues to offer the diesel-powered four-wheel drive A46JRT model, as well as its two-wheel drive electric powered A46JE, which is suited to indoor and outdoor work on concrete slab and is popular in industrial applications.

On display for the first time at Vertikal Days, the A46JRTE is shown alongside four other lithium-powered models, the SR626E compact rough terrain telehandler, the SL30RTE Speed Level, and the S2755RTE and S3970RTE compact rough terrain scissor lifts, which is the first time that Snorkel has shown a representative selection of its lithium family in one place.

The Zero Emission Snorkel A46jrte Has Powerful 4 Wheel DriveSpeaking from Vertikal Days, Matthew Elvin, CEO, Xtreme Manufacturing & Snorkel, said, “The launch of our first lithium-powered boom lift is an exciting next step in our development of zero emission alternatives to diesel. The compact and mid-size aerial lift and telehandler segment is a sweet spot for electrification, and our lithium-battery technology is proving to be a zero-compromise solution in this product category, delivering zero emissions, reduced noise and equivalent or better performance than the diesel.”

The company is also using the show as a launchpad for its new lithium-focused website at www.snorkelnetzero.com. Designed to aide customers in the switch from diesel to lithium equipment, the site features a range of resources including diesel vs. lithium cost calculators for both rental companies and contractors, as well as frequently asked questions, photos, videos and region-specific information on market drivers and adoption. Snorkel is also offering direct training for its rental customers, to help them educate their customers on the benefits of this new technology.

All nine models in the Snorkel lithium-electric family are now in full production and available to order globally.  For more information on Snorkel, please visit www.snorkellifts.com, or to learn more about the lithium-electric range and benefits, go to www.snorkelnetzero.com.

Visitors to Vertikal Days can see the lithium-family and try out the lithium cost calculators on the Snorkel UK stand (104/105) on Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd September at the East of England Showground, near Peterborough, U.K.
